Developed from the research AWA, this 45-minute performance begins before the audience even takes their seats. Upon entering, viewers are invited to speak or make sounds into a microphone positioned at the front of the space. These collected voices become the audio foundation for the piece, shaped live in collaboration with sound artist YASHA. Nana responds in movement in response to the voices of the audience.

The work is also deeply informed by the ongoing genocide of Palestinians. A reality that has profoundly shifted Nana’s way of living and thinking. Participating in protest actions in a politically closed Japan and engaging with diverse perspectives became moments of urgent reflection, challenging notions of voice and collective memory. Caught in bright blue light becomes a vessel for this complexity. A performance shaped by resonance, dissonance, and the act of listening.
